Heading across the Strait of Juan de Fucs

Al said "Today's the day to cross.". With calm seas and less than 5 k
wind we r almost to Pt Wilson. So calm we decided to turn on the oven
and make nachos for lunch! Beautiful sunny day. Spending tonite at
Pt Ludlow and Pt Madison tomorrow. Spending a few days there to
clean the boat before heading in.

Friends

We have been able to connect along our way with dear friends. Here we
r with Bob + Delphine Gilbertson after meeting them for dinner at
Roche Harbor. A few days before Bobbie and Larry Morris, vacationing
in Victoria, drove north to have dinner with us at Genoa Bay. Just
before that Tucson friends touring western Canada stopped in Nanaimo
on there way to Tofino to have lunch aboard the LL.

While crossing strait attempting to sail our mainsail batten became
wedged. Very nice man frm nanaimo marine service went up in our
bosun's chair to free sail. Off to Gulf Islands.
