SYC Outstation Garden Bay

Before heading south and home we stopped again at Garden Bay, Pender Harbour.



Longtime Emmanuel friends Emmett and Sandy Maloof, daughter Christy and family were also at Garden Bay.

Princess Louisa Inlet

After spending a night at Egmont we headed further up the Jervis Inlet to Princess Louisa Inlet.
This is a trip of over 40 miles so it took us just about all day.   The weather and tides cooperated and so it was a delightful and beautiful trip.  We arrived a little early at the Malibu Rapids and enjoyed the time to view the beautiful snow capped mountains. 

Al Collects and Shucks some Oysters from Cortes Bay

 

Later he shucks them.  After doing this awhile and watching a YouTube video he's gotten pretty good at shucking.   Grandpa Albert a big oyster fan would be very proud! We had them sautéed and also made Oyster Stew.  Delicious!
