Catalan's National Art Museum

On our last day in Barcelona we visited the spectacular Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya housed in the grand Palau Nacional built for the 1929 International Exhibition and overlooking the Magic Fountains and the city.
The collection contains the best collection of Romanesque frescoes. Al said, "I don't like frescoes!" And he readily admitted it was a wonderful exhibit!
We also saw both Renaissance and Baroque exhibits which were equally well done. We found a painting of St Barbara and had to take a picture to show her.
We walked several miles back to our hotel and both agreed that it was a wonderful museum and an afternoon well spent!
