Today we explored the main shopping area on Florida Street. The former Bon Marche is now transformed into a very nice shopping mall. The central courtyard ceiling was painted by well known Argentinian artists. Also in the mall is a museum, Centro Cultural Borges, where we spent some time viewing local contemporary artists and the photography of early 20th century artist and political activist, Italian Tina Midotti.
Lunch was in the food court in the lower level. Good food and fun people watching.
Later at hotel we met soon to be fellow ship board travelers from north Seattle, George and college age daughter Paige. They live near Lakeside School and George was principal of St. Joe's for 38 years!
