Day 6

We spent last night at the Caesar Park Hotel. The transfer to the domestic airport was @ 7:30 am for the almost 4hr flight to Ushuaia.

When we landed in Ushuaia, the most southern most city in the world, we boarded buses to take us to the National Park located at the border of Argentina and Chile. This array of islands is known Tierra del Fuego, islands of fire.

From there we boarded a catamaran for lunch and a cruise along the Beagle Channel. This channel connects the Atlantic with the Pacific Ocean.
And finally we arrived at our ship, the Explorer, which will take us to Antarctica.
