Niihau Island
Finally a lovely late afternoon walk with views of Niihau, aka the forbidden island, off the W coast of Kauai. Only about 100 Hawaiians live there. They make the highly prized and
beautiful shell necklaces from very tiny, colorful shells which they find on their beaches. Margie is fortunate to have several and she is wearing one in this picture....it is a little hard to see!
