Ta Prohm

This temple is well known today as the location where Angelina Jolie filmed Tomb Raider! Meant little to us as we have not seen the movie but others were intrigued
Actually it's interesting claim to fame is that it still contains giant trees which over centuries grew out of the roofs of the buildings. After the decline of Angkor the entire area became lost in the jungle. In the middle of the 19th century it was "rediscovered" by the French who spent considerable effort to restore much of Angkor to it's present state. Also the French and others stole many of the statues and artifacts and removed them to their museums.
