We travelled by truck and then hiked to this ancient site where we learned more about the tribal life of these people. Mark, our lecturer, told us about the life of these people, their warring, their priests and traditions.

Sacred Tiki
Guests often liked to have photos taken next to Tikis. Mark said not at this Tiki as it is atop the site where human sacrifices were made. The sacrificed were most often opposition warriors killed in battle!

This open air site is known as a Me'ae, a sacred religious site built by stone walls which define the area.Me'ae's are sites of worship, burial and human sacrifice.
