Neil Diamond at reunions?

Sat nite to finish off a very fun day a fantastic Neil Diamond8 impersonator performed a terrific concert. We knew he was Jay White, a Las Vegas performer flown in by a wealthy '63 alum. Al and I have seen Neil Diamond several times in concert and it was still hard to believe JW was an impersonator. Word got out on Facebook and Twitter and over 2000 "younger" alums abandoned their own bands to come to the 50th! We managed to have seats up front and were amazed as how many thought they were seeing ND. It even got on the Princeton Twitter!

The Infamous PRade!

For over 100 years at reunion the PRade has been a highlight. Each class parades through campus starting with the oldest living alums. A cheer I'd given to each major class that passes. We walked in the PRade 50 years ago and both found it pretty axing that we were here 50 years later celebrating. Over 25000 alums were at this year's PRade. The biggest group is the 25 year class that goes first followed by The Old Guard...classes older than 50. The oldest class represented was 1935.

Friday night entertainment

This night the two bands were great but it was Sat. Night that took top billing.
First a stop at the beer tent!

Ivory Joe Hunter (62) and '63 classmates

Walking back to Witherspoon we came across a 30 woman a Capella group singing in Blair Arch at midnight.

This is a busy place at night with bands at each headquarters, concerts and spontaneous groups all over!
