Pt Townsend to Friday Hbr

Due to the summer solstice the tides are big and the moon is full. We had a delightful motor to Portt Hudson Marina at Portt Townsend arriving yesterday at low tide.   Wish I'd taken a shot at low tide as we were about 15' below the breakwater and by high tide we could look over it. We took a walk to find the PO and along the way encountered a mama deer and her doe.  Later we stopped at an old fashioned ice cream soda shop for a soda.  Guess what flavor I had?   and Al?

This morning we had to wait for the flood tide before we could leave. While waiting about 8 otters jumped on the dock seemingly not bothered by our presence!

Al probably got better pics but u get the idea!

We crossed the Strait of Juan de Fuca with calm seas and sunny skies in record time and "flew" through Cattle Pass at 13.8 knots!!!!! You can see how much better the weather was then the day we left Seattle.

We are now sitting topside enjoying the evening and the lovely super moon.
