Visit to Nantucket

We drove to Hyannis from Boston in driving rain. It rained so hard that at first we couldn't get our of the car at the ferry. We took the high speed ferry which takes a little over an hour for the 40 mile trip.

We stayed at the Jared Coffin House right on the center of town.

Monday night we were treated to a wonderful introduction to Nantucket by Peter and Linda Hoey. Linda was a MOuntain Lakes High School classmate of mine and Pete a '63 classmate of Al's and also a MLHS grad. They have a lovely home on the SE corner of the island in Sconset.

Tues was absolutely beautiful w/o a cloud in the sky. We toured the town (founded on 1650's) as well as tour of the whole island with Gail's Tour. Gail is a 7th generation Nantucket descendant and knew something about "everything!"
