Milford Sound Part 2

We boarded the MV Mariner for our afternoon cruise of the Milford fjord. We headed out to the Tasman Sea and back again.


Box lunch on board! Al is actually eating a prepared sandwich and he said, "Not bad!"


While Al was outside in his gortex and rainpants, I took these pictures from inside.











We saw countless waterfalls created by the heavy rain. In the fjord there are actually only 4 permanent waterfalls, several of which are higher than Niagra.

Interesting trip.....four+hour drive back to Queenstown.
