Our first stop after a day at sea is Flam at the head of Norway's longest fjord, Sognefjorden. This fjord is 204km long with sheer walls rising more than 1000m. We awoke around 4 am and by then we were more than halfway into the fjord! Dozed a little more and then went to the observation deck around 5:30am not wanting to miss any part of seeing one of the reasons we came to Norway. There are villages and farms tucked into little flat spots along the banks of the fjord.
