Life Aboard Ship

This is our Starbucks at Seabourn Square.  It opens at 6:15am and closes at 11pm.  Besides tea and coffee drinks in the afternoon there is gelato and in the evening after dinner drinks,   All day long there is pastries, sandwiches, and cookies of all types.   Aside from early morning lattes we have pretty much refrained from all the other goodies--just vicariously watching others enjoy!
This pic was taken on one of our formal nights.   Other than formal nights dress in the evening is "Elegant Casual" which means just about anything goes except for jeans, and shorts!  It is amazing what some people show up in.! Most guests do where something other than daywear and about half the men where jackets w/o ties   On formal nights many women where fairly fancy attire, most men wear suits and ties and the tux is a rare sight.   Formal evenings are rare and we both enjoy dressing up a bit.

Al took this picture at a sailaway party where there is usually champagne or some special drink offered and tasty hors d'oeuvres.  This time we both decided to have mojitos.

We both really enjoyed a few hours each day reading on the pool deck.   At this place Al was undercover which was much favored as a place to get away from the very hot sun.   The pool is filled with sea water and frequently the pool has been has warm as the air.  It is refreshing none the less.  With predominantly calm seas and little or no wind most all the days have been very hot--usually over 95F.

We usually have mango for breakfast and our cabin attendant keeps us supplied with a variety of fruit including lycheee, rambutan, mangosteen and longan when available.   The stone fruits have seldom been ripe but  ChrisE's favorite,  pears have been good.

  1. I love pears. . . but passion fruits look good too.
