| After walking almost a mile through this narrow cleft in the rock (See later post "What is Petra.") you get a very dramatic view of this massive burial tomb known as the Treasury. |

| The picture in no ways does this dramatic view justice. You can however tell the size of this huge tomb by the relative size to the tourists. It is called the Treasury as it was believed that it contained valuables but this has never been substantiated. |
