Within the christian sector of the old city of Jerusalem is the Church of the Holy Sepulcher first built by Constantine's mother on what she believed is the location of Jesus crucifixion. Over the centuries it has been built and rebuilt and occupied by many different Christian sects. For quite some time 6 different groups (franciscans, armenians, Coptic, greek orthodox...)have "coexisted" there not always harmoniously. For us it was not a religious experience. It was mobbed with tourists and pilgrims and each chapel area was often gaudy, packed and not at all spiritual to us.
